The Pacific Security College is an educational institution serving members of the Pacific Islands Forum through learning and training, policy engagement and regional collaboration.

The College collaborates with Pacific experts and draws on the latest Pacific scholarship from the Australian National University and the broader Pacific region to ensure its work reflects Pacific wisdom and perspectives.

Established in 2019 at the Australian National University to work in partnership with members of the Pacific Islands Forum, the College supports the implementation of the Boe Declaration through short courses on the priority issues in the Declaration. Consistent with the Boe Declaration and the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent, the College’s work encompasses traditional and non-traditional security issues.

The College also serves Forum members with the creation, implementation, review and updating of their national security strategies. While the policy decisions in an individual strategy are for the government and peoples of that Forum member, the College can assist with the process with advice, workshops and technical assistance.
