The 2022 PNG National Election was marred by violence and allegations of voter fraud. However, despite these widespread issues, thousands of people lined up to vote, determined for their voices to be heard. ANU’s Dr Colin Wiltshire sits down with Arianne Kassman, CEO of Transparency International PNG and Geejay Milli, PhD Candidate at the ANU, to discuss what went wrong during the election, the role of women in the vote and what’s next for PNG’s electoral system & security.
