Colonel Litea Seruiratu (ret’d)

Ms Seruiratu served 34 years with the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF). She held various senior appointments in the RFMF such as Director Human Resources Management, Commandant of the RFMF Officers Training Center and Chief of Staff for the RFMF. She was the first female to take up these appointments. Ms Seruiratu also served a tour of duty with the Multinational Forces and Observers (MFO) in the Sinai Peninsula, Egypt and held the position of second in command. During her military career, Ms Seruiratu undertook leadership training, defence and security studies and civilian courses in India, China, United Kingdom, Hawaii, New Zealand, Malaysia and Australia. She graduated from the Chinese Senior Army Command and Staff College, attended the Australian Defence College and graduated as a Fellow of the Australian Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies. Ms Seruiratu has a Master of Business Administration from the University of the South Pacific and a Master of International Relations from Deakin University. Ms Seruiratu loves outdoor activities and doing charity work in the community.
