Eliorah Malifa

Dr Eliorah Malifa is a Samoan producer and researcher. Her PhD research focused on the development of sustainable screen industry in the Pacific. 

Before concentrating on the screen industry, Eliorah worked extensively in arts management, festival coordination and First Nations arts and culture.

Her recent work has concentrated on small island developing states, climate adaptation, labour mobility, gender and screen diasporas.

Eliorah is currently a Senior Research Officer in the School of Social Sciences at Monash University and is affiliated with the Resilient and Sustainable Islands Initiative. She is passionate about creating pathways for Pacific creatives in screen and is committed to community building in the Pacific region.
