Talagi

Ms Talagi is the Secretary of Government for the Niue Government, and officially took up the role in 2019.

The Secretary to Government is the permanent head of the Niue Public Service and chief adviser to Cabinet. She previously held the role of Solicitor General and the Head of the Niue Financial Intelligence Unit at the Crown Law Office, from 2007.  

Ms Talagi has been a member of the Niue Public Service for 28 years and has served on various government committees and boards, and represented Niue at various national, regional and international forums. The Secretary to Government is responsible for national security and is the chair of the Niue National Security Committee.
