Virginia Comolli
Virginia Comolli is a security and development expert with two decades of experience leading research and policy initiatives on transnational organised crime, conflict, and violent extremism.
She currently serves as Head of the Pacific Programme at the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime, an independent, non-profit think tank. In this role, she leads the organisation’s work across Oceania, overseeing regional projects, conducting research on criminal markets, governance and resilience, and building partnerships with law enforcement agencies, government ministries, regional organisations and international institutions.
In parallel, Virginia is a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Pacific Affairs at the Australian National University.
