Viliame Bovoro

Viliame Bovoro is the Director of the Pacific Fusion Centre.

He has more than 20 years of experience in public
policy, security and governance at national, regional and
international levels. He served in senior leadership roles
within the Fijian Government and the Pacific Islands
Forum Secretariat, including as the Forum’s Regional
Security Adviser and Senior Adviser – Policy.

Mr Bovoro has led major regional security initiatives,
including the development of the 2018 Boe Declaration
on Regional Security and the 2019 Boe Action Plan,
and re-establishing the Regional Security Coordination
Mechanism.
