Tonga’s Transnational Response

On January 15, Tonga and its vast transnational community were shaken by the eruption of the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai Volcano. APSC’s Eliorah Malifa sat down with Tongan Deputy High Commissioner to Australia, Curtis Tuihalangingie and Secretary-General of the Tonga Red Cross, Sione Taumoefolau to discuss the impact of this disaster on Tongan communities and the ongoing recovery effort.
