Who We Are

We support the values expressed by the Pacific Islands Forum. We respect the Pacific’s diverse cultures and strive for their wellbeing, equity and equality.
We work in a spirit of service and collaboration with Pacific stakeholders in national governments and regional organisations. We’re proud to serve members of the Pacific Islands Forum through learning and training, policy engagement and regional collaboration.
We collaborate with Pacific experts, drawing from Pacific scholarship within the Australian National University and the region to ensure our work reflects holistic Pacific wisdom and perspectives.
We work in a trusted partnership with members of the Pacific Islands Forum to support the Boe Declaration through short courses focused on its priority issues.
Our work encompasses traditional and non-traditional security issues. It’s guided by the Boe Declaration and the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent. You can read more about them below.
We also assist Forum members to create, implement, review and update their National Security Strategies. While the policy decisions are always made by the government of that Forum member, we can support the process with advice, workshops and technical assistance.

Pacific Security College Overview
- Download Boe Declaration on Regional Security The Boe Declaration on Regional Security proposes a comprehensive concept of security for the Blue Pacific Continent ‘so that all Pacific people can lead free, healthy and productive lives’. It focuses on human, climate, cyber and environmental security, and transnational crime. The declaration also frames regional responses to emerging security issues. Pacific Islands Forum Leaders adopted the declaration in Nauru on 5 September 2018.
- Download 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent Pacific leaders recognise that building a strong and resilient Pacific requires careful planning. At stake is our collective home, shared heritage and the health and wellbeing of our people. The 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent envisions a long-term plan for the region and outlines the steps to achieve it. It’s a regional strategy to protect and secure the future for Pacific people, places and prospects.
